At ANSIL we’re raising funds and promoting initiatives to serve the people who need them most. We believe in taking action with urgency in order to raise public awareness about homelessness and homeless youth. Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a measurable difference in the lives of others.
Who We Are
Homeless individuals and families frequently have a difficult time exiting poverty and ending homelessness. ANSIL Service Center offers a variety of services which improve the quality of life for people living on the streets, and may give them a start toward finding a job and moving off the streets. The center provides over 1650 services each month
One Step at a Time
ANSIL Young Adult Housing Programs
Homeless young adults have experienced disruption to their pathway to independence, including time in foster care, juvenile justice and homeless systems, and alienation from families of origin. Individuals in those systems, are far less likely to complete High School (In the Tri-Cities, 1 in 5 adults have not completed high school) and many of them do not attend college. Individuals with lower educational levels frequently have a difficult time exiting poverty and ending homelessness.
Reinforcing our Commitment
A residence hall providing transitional housing with services for homeless students ages 18-21 (up to 24) who are enrolled in our high school completion program. Homeless young adults who have not yet finished high school face incredible challenges. Priority housing in ANSIL Hall is for those homeless young adults ages 18-20 who have not yet completed high school, and need housing while they are full-time students. The second priority is for those ages 18-20 who have recently completed high school and are working their first jobs. The transition from childhood residence in parents’ homes to adult independence and permanent housing in their own homes is difficult for most and made more so for those who are homeless and have no family support. ANSIL Hall helps young adults make that transition more effectively by providing life skills, education, and vocational support.
